The cycle finishes, but plates still have food on them and glasses look cloudy. Running everything again uses more time, water and detergent. Poor cleaning does not always mean a broken component: loading and a dirty filter can make a difference. If basic checks do not help, a dishwasher technician can establish whether circulation, heating or another part is responsible.
Food particles, greasy surfaces and white marks can have different causes. Describing the residue helps with diagnosis, but its appearance alone does not prove that a pump or heater needs replacing.
A clogged filter, a spray arm blocked by a dish or dirty spray holes can prevent water reaching every surface. A short cycle may also be unsuitable for heavily soiled dishes. Grease can be linked to unsuitable detergent, weak circulation or a heating fault.
White deposits may relate to water hardness and salt or rinse-aid settings. Persistent cloudiness can also be damage to the glass itself, which another wash will not remove. A tablet left behind may mean a dish obstructed the dispenser, the programme was unsuitable or water did not circulate properly. Check the appliance instructions before putting a tablet elsewhere.
Stop the programme, allow the appliance to cool and disconnect it from power. Removal procedures vary by model. Only handle parts the instructions identify as user-serviceable.
If there is no leak or other warning sign, reassemble everything correctly and compare the result of a suitable cycle. Adding more detergent every time is not a solution. You can find other appliance services on the 166 Usta website.
If dishes stay dirty despite a clean filter and correct loading, the water inlet, circulation pump, heater, sensors and dispenser may need checking. Inspection and measurements determine whether a part needs replacement. Repeated unsuccessful cycles increase consumption, while accumulated residue can cause odours.
Do not run another cycle if water leaks, you notice a burning smell or the circuit breaker trips. Stop the appliance safely and do not touch a wet socket. Opening the casing and checking electrical components are jobs for a technician.
Note the make and model, any fault code, the selected programme and detergent used. Does the problem affect every dish or only the upper basket? Does the cycle finish, and is water left at the bottom? Photos of the residue, display and model label help with an initial assessment. Mention previous repairs and recent changes too.
When you enquire, the appliance details and symptoms are clarified. The technician checks the cause on site and explains the work and price before repair begins. Duration and parts requirements become clear after inspection, and the appliance is tested after the repair.
